Best fiends - Pixar Opening Spoof

This was my first attempt at character animation and rigging. I was given the assignment to spoof the Pixar opener for my client and eagerly took the opportunity. The animation used for the actual ad was much shorter and included gameplay, this is the full length version only including the animation. I was also responsible for sound design.

Best Fiends Stars - 2.5D Star Stamp

This video was concepted by our client. I took a seemingly impossible idea, given our current resources, and made it happen utilizing the 3D render located within After Effects.

Best Fiends STARS - Love Bug

This Valentines day ad was concepted by the client. It was particularly difficult because I needed to design a heart tunnel that fit shape of heart on the Fiend in the middle, Bob. There was also an added difficulty to make the tunnel animation forwards and backwards as well as smooth movement through the tunnel. I also edited the text in the gameplay through frame by frame animation since it was a screen recording.

Best Fiends - Alice In Wonderland Spoof

This idea was a client favorite and a top performer! I took inspiration from the beloved story ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and reinvented it for the ‘Best Fiends’ game. We utilized match 3 gameplay to cause reactions for the fiend to eat, drink, shrink and grow with the ultimate goal to go through the door. I was responsible for character animation, sound design, overal video animation, resourcing assets and overall concept.

Emotional Angle

For this concept, we used a problem-solution format. The problem is that dogs can develop a life altering health issue called IVDD. We used the product as the solution and described all the benefits it has to help prevent this health issue from occurring in the viewers dog. We used an emotional angle as the hook because many people love their dogs and would do anything for them to keep the healthy. We included captions throughout because many people are on social media with the sound off.

Pee Pad Testimonial

There are many different types of pee pads on the market; we needed to ensure our product stood out from all the rest. After conducting research, we found that a “testimonial sandwich” format was trending. We used a real customer review as the hook to establish credibility, utilized eye-catching motion graphics displaying the most sought after product features and completed the “testimonial sandwich” by showcasing the high number of 5-star reviews left by real customers further establishing trust in the product and increasing sales.

Unique Ingredients

Research indicates that the main element people look for when purchasing dog food is healthy ingredients. They want to ensure their best friend lives a long and healthy life. For this concept we showcased that our product not only has healthy ingredients, but that we chose these ingredients with their specific dog breed in mind.

Winning Fortune Teller - “Zultan”

Research shows that the people who play the lottery also have an affinity for fortune telling. This concept charms the viewer with a spoof of the popular fortune teller “Zoltan” predicting their future.

What Would You Do?

Insights revealed that people who play the lottery have a love for fast food. In this concept, we tie the lottery to fast food by asking the viewer how many tacos they could buy if they won the lottery.

CTV Advertisement

For this concept, we iterated on a top performing social media ad and geared the elements and features towards the CTV platform. Since these ads are displayed with the sound on mainly, we included a voice over walking the viewer through the features of the product. We utilized a static CTA at the bottom of the screen with the company brand and a QR code ensuring brand awareness and to give the viewer ample time to scan the code.
